SEO services are simply the start

It's probably been said a million times "the secret to success online is traffic". Well, in principle that may be true, however what good is the traffic if it doesn't give the result you want. Whether that be sales, newsletter sign-ups, Adsense clicks or some other action. The major players in the search engine optimization field are coming to realize that simply getting a site ranked in the search engines is only one of many steps required to achieve the result desired. Simply getting traffic to a site doesn't really achieve anything, even if it's targeted traffic. The website itself needs to do the rest, so if your website sucks, or is confusing and doesn't give the user clear reasons to take the desired action - the whole exercise will have been a colossal waste of time and money. So what else needs to be considered? Well the first step is to decide what it is that the website is supposed to achieve. For example, is the purpose to build a list? Get sales? Get Adsense clicks? Have viewers vote? Get Facebook or twitter followers? Once this has been decided upon the website can be designed around this purpose or purposes. If you have good marketing advice from an SEO company who has realized that ranking and traffic are just the beginning - you'll do well!
